Tori begins her 6th year with DACA who relocated from high-altitude training in Boulder, Colorado. Originally from the Bay Area, Tori grew up on the Tiburon Peninsula where her love for swimming began at the age of 6 while coached by Ken and Rick DeMont. She competed in swimming and water polo throughout High School and was a member of the Indian Valley Aquatics Club then coached by Pete Raykovich. As a member of Arizona State University swimming team from 1992-1996, her specialty was 100/200 breaststroke and 200/400 I.M.. Tori enjoyed success on both the USA Swimming and Collegiate levels, earning 7 All-American Honors. Her water polo skills earned her a spot on both the USA Junior National and National Teams. After college, Colorado was a great fit for Tori who enjoys hiking, biking, snowboarding and skiing.

From 1997 to 2002, she was the Head Age Group Coach of Boulder Swimming and was nominated 4 out of 5 years for Colorado Age Group Coach of the Year, bringing home that honor in 1999. Members of her former team, achieved over 40 Individual State Champion titles, broke 19 Colorado Individual State Records (LSC records) and qualified for over 25 National Age Group TOP-16 honors. Tori is a nationally recognized ASCA Level 5 coach, the highest level possible.

Since coaching with DACA, her swimmers have succeeded in achieving Pacific Swimming Age Group Championship Event titles (individual and relay), Far Western Event Champion titles (individual and relay), National Age Group Top-16 honors and have qualified for Zone All-Star, Quad All-Star and Western Zone Teams. Tori’s swimmers have broken numerous DACA Team Records, Far Western Meet Records, Pacific Swimming and National Age Group Records. Tori coached with Pacific Swimming’s 2002 Western Zone Team in Los Angeles and 2003 Quad All-Star Team in Reno. She was nominated as Pacific Swimming's Age Group Coach of the Year in 2005 & 2006. Tori was awarded the James E. "Doc" Counsilman Award for creative coaching at the 2006 ASCA World clinic.
