DACA Swim School made a major improvement in the way we provide lessons for your children. Lessons are provided and charged on a monthly basis (rather than by session). There will be no need to re-register for each session. Your lesson day and time priority will remain the same as long as you keep the lessons going. Your child will advance to the next class level as his or her skills improve.
Payments are now easily made through automatic debits from your credit card, debit card or checking account to be made on the first business day of every month. If you decide to take a break from lessons, submit a Withdrawal Form (available at www.daca.org under the Forms link). Withdrawals must be received no later than the 15th of the month to avoid being charged for the following month. When you return, you will register for swim lessons using the Registration Form Packet (available at www.daca.org under the Forms link).
Registration Policies
One month's dues or the pro-rated amount (if enrolling mid-session) and annual registration fee is payable in full upon registration.
Following the first month, dues will be paid as agreed upon on the payment option form.
Dues are charged every 1st of the month. Tuition is charged on the basis of enrollment, not attendance. There are no make up lessons, credits or refunds for scheduled lessons you miss.
Processing Fee - Four (4) free transfers per calendar year is granted per family. Free transfers are non-transferable and do not accumulate. Any transfer there after will incur a $25.00 processing fee.
Inactivation - If you want to withdraw or inactivate, submit a Withdrawal Form. Withdrawals must be received no later than the 15th of the month to avoid being charged for the following month. When you return, you will register for swim lessons using the Registration Form Packet (available under the Forms link).
Additional Policies and Requirements:
There are no refunds, credits or make-ups for missed classes for same-day cancellations caused by acts of God, including but not limited to, lightning, earthquake and severe weather.
In the instances of shutdowns caused by health and safety considerations such as fecal and vomiting incidents, a credit for the value of the cancelled class will be posted to your account.
It is your responsibility to make sure that appointments, vacations, and other activities do not interfere with the class for which you have enrolled.
Illness - If your child has a cold, but is eating well and acting as normal; bring him or her to class. The pool chemicals meet the highest standards, and the moist air will be beneficial. Please do not bring a child who has a fever, is not eating well and listless, or showing signs of bacterial infection.
Class Assignment - In order to maintain an optimal learning environment, it may be necessary to change a student's class assignment or instructor. While we do our best to match a student with a class appropriate to his or her level, it may happen that a student is placed in a class that is not an ideal fit. All possible avenues will be exhausted in an effort to rectify the situation. If no suitable solution is available, DACA reserves the right to drop the student.
Classes that do not meet a minimum of two students may be cancelled and/or rescheduled.
Instructors - DACA registers students based on day and time, not by instructors. Instructors are not guaranteed and are subject to change at any time.
Enrolling by instructors is NOT a service we provide. All DACA Swim School instructors have successfully completed the DACA training program and are certified in CPR and First Aid.
Crying Children - Occasionally, we ask parents to leave the pool area when a beginning swimmer cries. When the parent leaves, the child realizes that he or she needs to focus on their teacher and that when they stop crying, the parent gets to return.
Diapers - Children who are not yet potty-trained must wear a re-usable swim diaper. These are available for purchase in the office. Plastic training pants or regular diapers are NOT allowed. Please, no regular diapers under the swim diaper, as these become saturated with water and weigh down the child.
Goggles - All students are required to bring their own pair of goggles to each swim class. We unfortunately do not loan goggles due to sanitary reasons. Goggles are available for purchase in our reception area.
DACA reserves the right to change policy
and procedure at any time without prior notice to ensure ongoing
quality and service.
