DACA Swim School Policies And Procedures
The DACA Swim School was founded in 1996. Our primary purpose is to teach infants, children and adults to swim properly.
To that end, DACA has developed a proven method of teaching that ensures skill development, a love of the water and a healthy respect for water safety.
DACA instructors are trained on site, in the classroom and in the pool, for not less than 30 hours of intensive training. Our deck supervisors assist our teachers, provide customer service and ensure safety on the pool deck. The Swim School deck staff is certified in both CPR and First Aid.
Our state of the art DACA Swim Center offers two pools heated to 90 degrees at all times with adjoining locker rooms.
There is a maximum of four students per class with private and semi- private lessons available. Parent child classes can consist of up to six students and six adults. Classes can begin at three months of age.
DACA offers an accelerated learn to swim-program during the summer, year round Splash Classes (drop in classes), and a Pre-Competitive program that includes nights and weekends. We also offer specialty programs for adults and for children with special needs.
The DACA Pre-Competitive Program is an introductory program designed to improve stroke and turn technique in preparation for the DACA Competitive Team. Small class sizes of no more than seven swimmers of similar ability allow for first-class instruction that is both focused and personalized. Instruction in the DACA Pre-Competitive Program provides a technical skill base, igniting a love of the water and inspiring our swimmers to continue on in all levels of the DACA Competitive Team.
The award winning DACA Swim School has been the premier swim school in the Bay Area for more than twenty years. For quality, time tested instruction at any age, there is no better choice than the DACA Swim School.

COMPETITIVE
Policies And Procedures
With my payment of the swimmer registration fee entitling my designated child or children to participate in the competitive swim program of De Anza Cupertino Aquatics (DACA), I agree to abide by the regulations and policies of DACA as set forth in the by-laws of the corporation. I understand that it is my responsibility to read and familiarize myself with all of the following rules and regulations.
Specifically, I agree to adhere to the following established payment policies:
-
Monthly Dues – Monthly dues must be paid on the first business day of each month as agreed to in the Payment Option Form. A $25 late/decline charge will be assessed if dues are not collected by the first of the month. DACA’s billing system is automated. New applicant’s registration fee and current month’s dues will be charged at the time of placement. Thereafter, each month all active families will receive a Billing Summary the week of the 21st. Details can be reviewed by logging into your Team Unify account. The charges will occur on the first business day of the coming month.
-
DACA does not pro-rate fees for partial months. There are no credits or make ups for cancelled practices.
-
Registration Fee – Please note this is a new process as USA Swimming has updated their registration procedure:
-
DACA Registration Fee – An annual $75 Registration Fee will be collected upon enrollment with the Competitive Team and every January thereafter. Fees for swimmers enrolling for the first time in the last quarter of any calendar year will apply to the subsequent year.
-
USA Swimming Registration – Once placement within the Competitive Team is confirmed, families will receive an email with a link to complete the swimmer’s USA Swimming registration. The USA Swimming registration needs to be completed by the parent/guardian within 48 hours of placement or the swimmer’s enrollment with DACA will be cancelled. Registration fees are per calendar year (Jan-Dec). USA Swimming membership renews annually.
-
-
Perpetual Swim Program – DACA is an ongoing swim program. Membership will continue until DACA receives a Withdrawal Form (online). An active swimmer need not re-register each September.
-
Withdrawal – Withdrawal Forms (available at www.daca.org) must be submitted electronically, by fax or by mail. A Withdrawal Form must be received no later than the 21st of the month to avoid being charged for the following month. There are no exceptions. Phone notification is not a valid form of notification.
DACA reserves the right to terminate the membership of any member whose actions are considered detrimental to DACA’s welfare as set forth in the organization’s by-laws.
